life and death

My computer hasn't been well. I didn´t have the chance to write as much as i wanted. I have, on the other hand, always been looking for everyone else's works. Mainly i search via www.webshots.com. I know, it's a lazy way of searching. I really should be shooting more.
I don't have, on the other hand, all the time of the world to go and do photo safaris. My job is still being a veterinarian. In the clinic i have the opportunity of seing lots of animals, some nice and friendly, others not as much. But the real toll it collects on us is by means of the ever present dance of life and death. Small puppys and kittens walk in by the front door, bodybags come out from the back door.
It's not the ideal place for someone that loves the little critters...
Maybe that's the reason i'm trying to set up a company where my skills as a vet will be useful. Food safety: a major public health concern, a major veterinarian vocation, a sort of a crush i developed from working in that field for almost a full year. Surely i'll see less death. Certainly i'll see less puppys a other fury and scaly creatures.
On the meanwhile, me and my fiancée have already chosen our wedding photographer, wich represents, as you can imagine, a big endorsement from someone that wishes he could be both the groom and the one taking pictures. Carlos Vilas will be the artist chosen- he shot the wedding of some friends and i recognized him from the same street i work in. We took a quick peek at his work and decided on the moment. He is expensive. Any contributions?

A new begining, an old love

What was it about this idea for a blog? Why this title? I'me sure i did't mean to show of, that's not me. Or is it? Surely i don't mean i have a special gift for photography, i see many more proficient. I think taking pictures is my way to see the world, to show my vision of it to you all. Like the little boy that won't rest until someone sees what he sees.
Photo sapiens will also be my journal, as i am indivisible from my activity of freezing the moment. I hope this to be a place for my friends to visit, as much as my home, a place to make new friends, as i am always a bit shy myself.
